By Public Opinion Messages -- You can send a message of up to 50 words to some or all legislators during session by filling out a Public Opinion Message Form on-line or by visiting any of the nearly two dozen Legislative Information Offices around Alaska.
By e-mail -- Address an email message to your legislators using the format:
- Senator.firstname.lastname@akleg.gov
- Representative.firstname.lastname@akleg.gov
By mail -- Address a letter to your legislators using the format:
Name of Legislator
Alaska State Legislature
Alaska State Capitol
Juneau, AK 99801-1182
By phone -- Call your legislator's office directly to leave a message.

When contacting your legislators keep the following suggestions in mind:
- Do your homework first. Read reliable background materials to know the specifics.
- Keep the message short and to the point.
- Give examples of how the legislation under discussion would positively or negatively affect you and others.
